Firstly, try not to get mislead by published running/linear metre prices and always obtain an estimate for the entire job, inclusive of all labour items and ideally taken from a kitchen/bathroom plan/drawing. Secondly, are you comparing like-for-like? Stone quality and finish can vary greatly between suppliers. As with most purchases, it's usually best NOT to base your decision solely on price. If you have the information (below)to hand we will usually be able to provide estimates over the phone. By far the best solution is to visit our yard with your plan or drawing. You can view and reserve your choice of stone from our wide selection of slab stock.
1. Depth of worktops front to back. 2. Length of each run. 3. Total length of polished edges. 4. Also, consider which polished edge profile will suit your kitchen or bathroom.
5. Do you require
up-stands (splash-backs) - Total length & height.
6. Type of sink (under-mounted, drop-in, sit-on, semi-recessed etc).
7. Location of templating & fitting.
Note: Sizes of Slab vary but as a rule-of-thumb the maxiumum run length is 3.2 metres.
